- More precise feeding status with real-time audio cues
to the driver
- Real-time feed fed and variance weights displayed
as a pen is fed
- More accurate accounting of actual feed fed to each
pen

FOR BATCH-ON-TRUCK OPERATIONS:
- Remote button signal from the front- end loader
cab signals the system to record ingredients
- Recording of actual individual ingredient usage
versus theoretical call with variances recorded
- Mix-time indicator ensures proper mixing before
dispensing
- Real-time batching status display in the office
The READ-N-FEED System is a combination
of today’s practical feedyard necessities with
the latest technological advances for precision feedbunk
management. |
SEE THE MICRO ADVANTAGES:
- Automatic pen identification and ration delivery
validation with integrated Global Positioning System,
an exclusive
feature
- Wireless transfer of feed scheduling and feed fed
information between feed trucks and the office
- Real-time feeding status display and feed truck
location check from the office
- Easy-to-use system with graphical display and touch
screen
- Schedule display allows reviewing of the feeding
schedule and feed fed information with the touch
of a finger
- More consistent bunk placement with bar graphs of
percent feed dispensed versus percent distance traveled
along the bunk
- Automatic recording of feeding and load information
The Feed Truck Computer
The main component of the system is
the feed truck computer which is custom-built running
Microsoft Windows 95/98™. Its elements are located
in a self-contained enclosure mounted inside the cab
within easy reach of the driver. A flat-panel color
display and touch screen on the front of the enclosure
is used to easily operate the system.
Differential GPS
The unique, patented automatic pen
identi- fication feature uses information from Global
Positioning System satellites to determine where the
feed trucks are throughout the yard. To get more accurate
position information, Differential GPS is used to sharpen
position information to within about two meters. Now,
automatic pen identification and ration delivery validation
is possible in a practical and cost- effective manner.
Wireless Network
A wireless local area network connects
feed trucks, the DGPS base station, and bunkreader to
a communications network for advanced data transfer
automation. |
