ACCU-TRAC®
Electronic Cattle Management . . .
is a proprietary state-of-the-art individual
animal, value-based management system facilitating industry-wide
supply chain integration and animal traceback that creates
value at every stage of beef production and increases the
profits of beef producers, feeders, packers, and retailers
while improving the consumer’s eating experience. The
ACCU-TRAC® System, also known as ECM®, encompasses
a number of elements for a comprehensive approach toward individual
animal management and integrated beef supply chain management.

The ACCU-TRAC® ECM System uses science
and advanced technologies to manage cattle individually. Rather
than eyeballing and just guessing about animal performance,
beef producers can use objective criteria to make management
decisions. ECM® combines multiple objective measurements
on each individual -- such as weight, ultrasound for internal
tissue characteristics like back fat thickness, and video
imaging for external dimensions, along with much other data
-- for optimum individual profit sorting, management, and
marketing whether at the feedyard or the ranch. This approach
extends to the packing plant as well with automated live and
carcass identification transfer and matching conducted along
with the use of ultrasound technology for valuation of carcass
characteristics. The ACCU-TRAC® System combines food safety
and beef traceability practices with implementation so everyone
wins. Consumers receive a wholesome product and producers
increase their profitibility.
